America's Roundtable

AMERICA'S ROUNDTABLE

AMERICA'S ROUNDTABLEAMERICA'S ROUNDTABLEAMERICA'S ROUNDTABLE

The Naveh

The Naveh | An Initiative of America's Roundtable Media

The Naveh  — an America’s Roundtable Media Network project produced by leading Jewish youth in The United States.  The program is dedicated to educate the public about the rise of antisemitism in youthful spaces and specifically focusing on college campuses across America. These anti-Semitic acts are often disguised as "anti-colonialism" in protests regarding the conflict in Gaza.

One of the leading hosts of The Naveh is Noah Bland, a journalism student from the University of Maryland. Naveh in Hebrew - as a noun means a “home” or an “oasis” in the desert.

The new podcast is an initiative of America's Roundtable and the International Leaders Summit dedicated to combating anti-Semitism in the America and around the world, presenting the truth, and fostering a secure environment for Jewish students.  The conversations on this unique podcast will also highlight how Israel — known as the start-up nation, contributes to America and the world through agricultural advances, healthcare and technology.

Over the course of this show you’ll hear individuals share stories, insights, and strategies for the modern Jewish American generation aren’t familiar with this amount of hate towards them. Our goal is to help students understand and combat these challenges, to foster and rebuild Jewish identity and community.

The Naveh is an excellent resource for the American public and specifically for non-Jewish parents and youth discussing the implosion of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiments found on social media.

A Conversation with Ambassador Elan Carr, Former Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism

The Naveh Podcast | An initiative of America's Roundtable Media, International Leaders Summit and the Jerusalem Leaders Summit.

On this featured segment, we are pleased to present a timely and relevant conversation with Ambassador Elan Carr, former Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, U.S. State Department (2019-2021). Join our distinguished guest Ambassador Elan Carr with host Noah Bland, a journalism student at the University of Maryland on the Naveh Podcast!

Bio: Ambassador Elan Carr

Elan Carr is the CEO of the Israeli American Council (IAC) and brings to this role his extensive experience as a senior U.S. diplomat, criminal prosecutor, military officer, and community leader. He is a passionate advocate for uniting the Israeli-American and Jewish-American community around our shared heritage and love for Israel.

Elan has dedicated his career to service of country and community. In 2019, he was appointed the United States Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, directing U.S. policy and programs aimed at combating Jew-hatred throughout the world.

Before his federal appointment, Elan devoted over a decade to public safety as a Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County, prosecuting violent felonies and some of the region’s most dangerous criminal street gangs.

He also served for more than 20 years as an officer in the United States Army Reserve, and he led an anti-terrorism team in Iraq during his wartime deployment. While in Iraq, he was also able to connect to his Iraqi-Jewish heritage, when he helped preserve Jewish communal property and led Shabbat and holiday services in Saddam Hussein’s former palace in Baghdad.

Elan held senior leadership positions in the Jewish world, including serving as the 71st international president of Alpha Epsilon Pi, a voting member of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, and a national councilmember of AIPAC.

Elan’s relationship with the IAC has been deep and personal since its inception, when his parents were co-founders of the organization. As a second-generation Israeli-American and native Hebrew speaker, Elan prioritizes his family’s indivisible connection to the Jewish people, culture, and faith. He and and his wife Dahlia, a rheumatologist in private practice, are the proud parents of Hannah, Rachelle, and Samuel, whom they raise bilingually, educate in Jewish schools, and bring to Israel every summer.

Born and raised in New York City, Elan holds degrees in philosophy and political science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law.

The Naveh, an initiative of America's Roundtable and the International Leaders Summit  is pleased to feature Noah Bland's timely and relevant conversations with leading voices from America and beyond focusing on educating the public about the rise of antisemitism in youthful spaces like college campuses across America.

Brief Bio:

Noah Bland grew up in Rockville, Maryland, within a strong and populated Jewish community. As a young boy, living close to Washington, D.C., inspired him to pursue journalism. As a proud Jew, he is devoted to covering the truth about Zionism and events in the Jewish state of Israel.

Bland is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland’s highly esteemed Merrill College of Journalism. He wrote for his high school paper all four years and did play-by-play for the University of Maryland’s club baseball team.

And the University of Maryland limited events on Oct. 7 after a controversy over possible action by pro-Palestinian groups that day.
