Bonhoeffer opposed his country and the German church's embracement of antisemitism in the 1930s and 1940s.
Camile Kampouris succinctly brings to the forefront the role of the German church community as it was subdued by Hitler's directives and the Nazi German government's edicts that threatened Christian leaders if they opposed the regime.
