Join America's Roundtable radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with Troy Miller, President & CEO of National Religious Broadcasters (NRB).

This was a special 2024 election program titled "America at a Crossroads."

The timely conversation with Troy Miller on America's Roundtable focuses on the significance for Christians to vote in US elections in preserving freedom of speech and religious freedom. The conversation brings to the forefront the court case against the "Johnson Amendment", and the crucial role of the faith community in engaging in key public policy issues impacting families and their local communities.

A recent study released by Arizona Christian University, led by Dr. George Barna, indicates that 32 million regular Christian church attenders are unlikely to vote this election. While this major voting block upholds Judeo-Christian values and principles, the study reveals apathy among Christian voters could be a "gamechanger" this election, according to Barna.

Mr. Miller also shares about his recent visit to Israel and the tragedy of the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group murdering 1200 individuals and taking 250 hostages on October 7, 2023. Miller speaks about the importance of the faith community in combating anti-Semitism and presents moral clarity in standing with Israel and the Jewish community in the West.

Miller is a senior executive with more than 30 years of management and business experience. He has served as the interim CEO of NRB since March 2019, assuming leadership during a time of financial crisis.

Under Miller’s leadership, the association has recaptured a strong financial position, grown its membership and significantly enhanced programming, networking, equipping, sponsorship, and exhibition aspects of the annual NRB International Christian Media Convention.

Miller is also currently President & CEO of NRBTV where he has served since June 2005.

He served with distinction in the US Navy from 1983-1988, including time assigned to the Naval Engineering Command at Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS. Miller was part of the commissioning crew of USS Bunker Hill.

He worked for personal computer Gateway, Inc. for ten years and was involved in leading several business startups, including Gateway’s expansion into Europe and Asia, new manufacturing facilities, and global information technology application strategy.

He served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for D. James Kennedy Ministries. Miller has spoken at seminars on strategic business planning, information technology integration, organizational development, and Christian apologetics, as well as training pastors in the Far East.

The U.S. Constitution

Amendment I

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

“Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.” — Thomas Jefferson

President George Washington on Religious Liberty:  "In fact, while President, Washington wrote a letter to the Hebrew Congregation in Newport, Rhode Island standing in favor of religious freedom, explaining: "For happily the government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance, requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens…May the children of the stock of Abraham, who dwell in this land, continue to merit and enjoy the goodwill of the other inhabitants." —  George Washington's Mount Vernon

Join America's Roundtable radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with the Honorable Benjamin S. Carson, Sr. M.D., one of America's principled leaders and a great patriot.

The program begins with the words — "the perilous fight" penned by Francis Scott Key in the midst of a most difficult and pivotal moment in our nation's history when twenty British ships bombarded Fort McHenry from the Baltimore Harbor. It was on the morning of September 14, 1814 that Francis Scott Key wrote about the ramparts, and the land of the free and the home of the brave which inspired a nation and became a rallying victory call.

Our conversation highlights Dr. Ben Carson's new book "The Perilous Fight: Overcoming Our Culture's War on the American Family."

“The perilous fight—those words arrest my attention whenever I place my right hand over my heart and face the flag at the playing of our national anthem. They are a reminder that America was born in a crucible of fire. Freedom was not given freely but had to be fought for and defended.” ~ Dr. Ben Carson

Biography | Dr. Ben Carson

In 1973, Ben Carson graduated from Yale University. He went on to receive his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School. At the age of 33, Dr. Carson became the chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, making him the youngest major division director in the hospital’s history.

This would be among an extensive list of outstanding firsts for Dr. Carson. Dr. Carson’s accomplishments have earned him a place in medical history. He performed the first and only successful separation of craniopagus (Siamese) twins joined at the back of the head in 1987.

He also performed the first fully successful separation of type-2 vertical craniopagus twins in 1997 in South Africa. In his career, Dr. Carson became a professor of neurosurgery, oncology, plastic surgery, and pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and directed pediatric neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center for over 29 years.

In 2016, Dr. Carson accepted the position of Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under the Trump administration. After completing his tenure as the 17th Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2021, Dr. Carson founded the American Cornerstone Institute. This organization is focused on fighting for the principles that have guided him through life and that make this country great: faith, liberty, community and life.

Dr. Carson and his wife, Candy Carson, co-founded the Carson Scholars Fund, which recognizes young people of all backgrounds for exceptional academic and humanitarian accomplishments. The organization has awarded more than 11,000 scholarships and paid out more than $8.9 million in scholarships. The Carson Scholars Fund is currently operating in 50 states and the District of Columbia, and since its founding, has installed more than 270 Ben Carson Reading Rooms around the country.

In 2021, Dr. Carson founded the American Cornerstone Institute (ACI), a conservative think tank centered around advancing policies that promote “faith, liberty, community, and life.”
